there's no other way to silence the damn thing, and I can't think of anywhere to buy a new controller :(
Would some sound dampening stuff that you put in doors etc work?
As I definitely don't really want to wrap it in a shirt and put it behind the dash :?

Would getting rid of the glue and replacing with parts from your current guages work?

I don't believe that there would be interchangeable parts :(

I believe it is just an EL inverter: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12V-DC-AC-in ... 35ba066e69 and you would need 2 of these splitters: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1x3-Splitter ... 4843ff6add (Couldn't find a 1x5 splitter)

Just make sure the EL inverter you buy is suitable for the amount of surface area of the dials. The one I linked to should do the job.

EDIT: Just had a better look at your photo and it looks like the inverter that came with the dials has extra wires. (For the colour changing I presume)

A standard inverter like the one I linked above will still work you will just lose the colour changing feature.

You are amazing :)

Any idea what color the dials would glow with just this then, and no color changing options?

I could not find any colour changing ones.

I would say the colour will be the same as the last picture you posted (Blue) but am not 100% sure.

And I should also note, every EL inverter I have used has had a slight whine to it.

Yea I couldn't find any either, and this isn't a slight whine... it's extremely loud :?
I'll try and silence it this afternoon, if I can't I will order one of those inverters

An old Japanese Shell petrol receipt from 1998 and $5.00 worth of coins under the carpet.
I found a Japanese cassette tape when I was replacing my center console at the bonfire last year.

That seems to be them :p
They're all installed now, and look a heck of a lot better than stock, but the reflectiveness of them is a bit annoying in the sun.

I found Japanese 'sexual enhancement' pills behind my dash -
Good to see customs doing their job, those pills could have been something else and got through.. ;)
