Trackday at Wakefield soon
Me and some of my mates are planning for a trackday at Wakefield with the following lineups:
two 180sx (one totally stripped track car, BUT with number plates)
370Z
350GT
Integra S
Sirroco
Golf R
WRX
The playing field is obviously not even. Boy.....my FTO will have difficulty keeping up with the big hp boys.

I'll be up if my bonnet is ready by then. No point in going for me otherwise.

For the record, this is not an invite. LOL....but it will be cool to have some fast FTO mixing with higher HP bunch.

Re: Trackday at Wakefield soon
ofcos not! im assuming these track dates are open to public so just attend, no worries!
Just make sure your ride is in good condition. OPs, mine is not.
U know, becos of its age and all that and we need to be in top condition to match with those younger, modern cars.
And wakefield is in the middle of nowhere....
Statistically, our closest matchup is against the TegS, given that, its still a tad superior. As for the rest, im guessing they will just zoom pass us on the straights.

Having more power than the other cars will not always result in you flying past them, it comes down to how the car is driven.zuihoujueding wrote:ofcos not! im assuming these track dates are open to public so just attend, no worries!

sh*t one of the track days I took part in I was racing a S2000 and a number of turbo cars, the hoonda spun off a number of times as I was right on his back bar and when I was in front of him he could not keep with me.
So end result more power won't always win.

Re: Trackday at Wakefield soon
Yeah, power isn't everything. It all comes down to the driver more so than the car being driven. You can have the most fantastic, triple turbo quad-rotor RX7, but if you can't hold a corner because you're a novice, then you're wasting the vehicle's potential.aza013 wrote:Having more power than the other cars will not always result in you flying past them, it comes down to how the car is driven.zuihoujueding wrote:ofcos not! im assuming these track dates are open to public so just attend, no worries!

I'd actually be keen to see how the A5 does on the track against the FTO's. It'd be hilarious to video, all you'd hear would be the turbo going "ffffffssssssssSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS"

Re: Trackday at Wakefield soon
Exactly, but for those who have been to wakefield, its a tiny track, plus if the hp differences is too great, they will still catch up at the last straight.
Im just an average driver, and since its a small track with only 9-10 corners, most average driver would get a good grip of the track in just a few hours. Further development will about having more practices or a few of you might be just talented!
aza sure do FTO proud for that event!!! experience is the key!
