Rocker Cover Leak

Hi, I have a leak from my rocker cover gasket/cam seals. Any good gasket kits out there?

well unless your doing timing belt too you need following seals

Rocker cover gaskets
Sparkplug seals

And if your picky while there may as well replace Throttle body to manifold gasket and Manifold Gasket

Have already replaced my throttle body gasket.
Might do timing belt as well depends on available funds

You sure they are leaking from the cam seals? Very common is rocker covers and you can purchase a rocker gasket and three spark tube seals from repco/bursons for $70.00

It's leaking from the back of the rear rocker cover, out of the cam caps on the back of the engine and also oil coming from behind the timing cover towards the top of the engine, have not take cover off yet for a look.

Thought you did not take the cover off. The timing cover actually covers part of the rocker cover, so I'm pretty sure it's your rocker leaking inside your timing cover. You can just use sealant, does the same crap really.

Also due to age your gaskets go hard so you need more torque on your rocker cover bolts, give them a bit more of a turn, could stop the leak.

Thought you did not take the cover off. The timing cover actually covers part of the rocker cover, so I'm pretty sure it's your rocker leaking inside your timing cover. You can just use sealant, does the same crap really.

What about the cam caps on the back of the engine? If I have to take off the intake to get to the rear rocker cover, then I might as well replace the rocker cover gaskets.

I just had a look and yes the half moon, but their not as bad as I thought. The main leak is from behing the timming cover near the alternator and the rocker gasket nearest to the cabin

Rocker cover gaskets are rubber so I just keep tightening mine up a wee bit and any leak stops. I bought the gaskets about six years ago but haven't actually needed to fit them yet

Yup, but I noticed the leak when doing the tappets so I just made sure I got it nipped up tight then bought the gasket for it. I've had that rocker cover off half a dozen times since and just keep forgetting to replace it

Just pull the cover and have a look. Rocker leak is still my guess.

I just did this exact thing on my mazda a few days ago, was a pain in the back side to remove the intake manifold
