need advice for a place to take my fto to get looked at??

Anyone know of a decent priced mechanic i can take my fto to around brisbane/ipswich area and get looked over?? i have a horrible oil leak and need to work out what this ticking like sound is thats comming from my engine. ive taken it to 2 different mechanics and they both told me 2 completly different things. over getting stuffed around!

Ticking sound would be your tappets.
Oil leak, well, depends where that's coming from, but probably just a gasket.

Sorry, don't know a mech for you.

Yeah ticking sound, if it is tappets, wont hurt the car, its just really annoying haha.

If it's tappets, they can be adjusted which should stop the noise :D

The guy that sold you your car, did he have a turban, a long beard, odd looking lumps under his clothes with wires in off places sticking out of his clothing and a detonator in his hand?

Take it to my mechanic... Hes in archerfield and he done my FTO engine swap and full service and roadworthy on my FTO for $2150... He's a family friend and knows his sh*t.. He does all my servicing too

Pop under the bonnet and find here the leak is coming from. Most likely your rocker covers and should not cost more than $300.00 to $4000.00 to fix.

Haha, by some of the money some of you pay to get sh*t done I would be surprised of the $4000.00!!
