Undercover Cops on the Roads
I was driving home from work along springvale rd when some guy turns into springvale rd blocking my lane (left lane) he was about 30 metres infront of me, so i quickly speed up to about 100 (I needed to do no. 2) n changed lanes to the middle but there was a lady in a van in the middle lane, she wasnt too happy. At the intersection of Princes hwy and Springvale the lady in the Van sticks her head out the windows n says to me " What do you think your doing? Who do you think you are? do you realise Im an undercover cop? consider your licence suspended buddy". The lights went green and i just drove off. Its been a week now n so far i still got my licence Of course I didnt believe her but den again she did scare me for abit. Are there any undercover traffic cops besides the ones with unmarked cars? or can an off duty copper book you for a traffic offence? Anyone ever been stoped by a real undercover cop?

Here's a line that my GF teach at school, which I'm sure we all learned when we were just babys
"Ok kids, what do you ask when someone said they are a police officer?"
Kids replied "Ask them for the badge & I.D"
So remember kids, don't talk to stranger!!!!!

LOL
i had a funny run in too
i drive around a lot for work (600 k this week) and this SS at the trafic lights is fullypushing me around so i sped off a bit to get away from him and changed lanes to let him pass cus i already got one ding from a stupid comodore at a petrol station
he pulled me over, so i wuickly wrote down his rego and when he asked me what i was doing i said avoiding your recless driving, noting it is leagle to brake the law in a life fretening situation (ie car crash) and getting ready to report you (showed him his rego on the paper) he whent so red!

They do drive undercover cars...
I got sooooo close to loosing my licence to a marone falcon (maybe XR6), he came flying up my arse, so I sped up, only to have him keep going up my arse.
Lites go red, and he flicks his on, above his rear vision mirror.
My heart stops beating from there...
I don't think he was able to prove the speed, although, he must of been doing 100, because he came to my window, and goes, 100 in a 60 zone, give me the licence, your about to loose.
He did all his checks, and gave it back to me.... Noticed I didn't have my p-plates up, and yells at me, PUT EM UP! and then drove off.... but didnt dick me...
I'm now going to be extra super cautious, around commordors and falcons... fuken assholes! I swear, i reckon, he was going to hit my arse!!!

Guni-Gugu,
What your talking about are undercover cars or detective's cars. They are up here all over the place, look for commodores or falcons with stock rims, sound a little better than stock and have antenna's all over them
.
Anyway, I think what everybody here is talking about is undercover cops, you know, like Stinger

when i first got my license, i was a little bit of a terror, and there was this guy ridding my ass, and i had a car full of mates, so i slowed down to 5kmh bellow the limit and thye were all giving him sh*t, and he rode it so close he nudged me, anyways when it got to 2 lanes and he overtook, my mates were f**ken goin off at me, and he sped past holding his wallet open to look like a badge, we knew he was full of sh*t ( he was in a very old car) and he still wouldnt pull over, till he stopped at the traffic lights where more abuse followed till he sped off. Lukily i was selling the car to a dealer the next day so didnt mind the damage, but he tried impersenating a cop and did a hit and run. hahah its amazing what people try to copy off holywood

i go to Ballarat all the time for hunting, 130kms from Thornbury.
Tricks are to be careful when there are Magnas, Commodores(especially red S), and subaru outlanders around. Be careful about lots of aerials on the car. Mostly cops.
Also if the suspected car is in front, check out if there is a small black box next to the right passenger head support at the back. this is the red-blue light that goes on crazy when they chasing anybody.
If the suspected car is behind, check out the radiator grill. blue-red lights very easy to spot either behind or in front of the grill.
Also, on the higways, cops love to hide under the bridges, just after the legs in the middle.

if you see an unmarked Hyundai Santa Fe or Rav4 parked on the emergency lane along the Western Highway near Ballarat (from Kryal Castle onwards towards town), be careful coz it's unmarked and it's equipped with a speed camera...mxysxy wrote:i go to Ballarat all the time for hunting, 130kms from Thornbury.
Mostly takes me an hour.
First time I realised that my car has a speed restriction(180km/h), I was on this road.
However, never had a speeding fine at all.

I have also seen unmarked Magnas and Camrys hiding a the bottom of the hill at Anthony's Cutting (between Bacchus Marsh & Melton).
I have also seen a number of unmarked white WRXs at breatho stops near Melton and Eastern Fwy.
but yea, always be on the lookout for the latest V8 commies or falcons - usually the snr sgt gets to drive them around and if you're not careful they will make a playground out of your arse... (so better be safe than sorry)
