Bathurst Pitcrew Needed

Post by Shane001 »

Hi guys, I realise this conflicts with the bonfire, but if anyone is interested in seeing what goes on racing at Bathurst this is a perfect opportunity for you to get involved :D

I'm looking for 1 maybe 2 people to help out at Bathurst this weekend. This is a hands on experience; tyre changes, tuning, strategy, pitstops, possibly some mechanical work, nothing I won't be doing myself. There'll also be plenty of spare time to check out the other cars racing and get some pics and / or video from around the track.

As well as our category (everything from replica GT40's, Porsches down to MX-5's) there will be Formula 3 (they're expected to go close to or break the 2min lap time 8O ), a full grid of Aussie Racing Cars (spectacular wherever they race), HQ's and historic touring cars. Full details here;
http://bathurstmotorfestival.com.au/

This is a volunteer opportunity :D but your food, accomodation (we'll be camping alongside Mountain Straight again this year - the only way to experience Bathurst) and drinks including basic alcohol will be provided. We're leaving Thursday morning so you're welcome to come out with us or meet us out there. Coming back Monday morning.

It's going to be a huge weekend of motorsport. I'm confident of being able to battle for a class win, my main competition this year is a Porsche Boxster S, but if we don't win in class we should be a definite second (other cars in class include a Lotus & an MX-5).

If interested please pm me as soon as possible.

Cheers 8)

Honestly if this didn't interfere with the bonfire I'd have my hand up immediately.

Money can't buy happiness, but it can help you look for it quicker, in a convertible.

If I had any idea about working on cars and wasnt going to the bonfire, I'd come.

I would literally make your work on the car take longer though, I know nothing :scratch:

Morale support! :cheers:
I fix cars.

Suggestion;

POST BONFIRE BATHURST CRUISE FTW! :lol:

My 1 hour race starts around 2pm on Sunday. Plenty of time to get your arses into gear and take the long way home.

Entry is free by the way (well actually optional bank note donation to charity but...)
