car struggling to turn on :(

hey guys, i noticed before that my car struggled to turn on so i assumed it was a battery problem but now its doing the same thing, like its not as bad as before but it doesnt turn on straight away? i cant explain it. i just got a service a few km's ago. but i know nothing about cars so is it the starter motor coz thats what the issue was with my old car or spark plugs? i have no idea. but basically you can hear it struggle to turn on. sorry if it doesnt make sense haha its hard to explain

oh sorry thought i added it in, i changed my battery 2 months ago coz i thought that was the problem?

If you are getting a good charge then start looking at at terminals and ground circuits.

Alright my car died in front or my mates house had to use jumper leads. Mate said its my alternator? I'm so annoyed. So many f*kn problems

bennoz do you think thats the problem though? since i just got a new battery and terminals anyway?

hold onto the alternator ill most likely grab it just waiting for pay day

Well the alternator charges the battery and maintains the current draw needed from the car.

If the alternator fails then you are left with a depleting battery that will eventually quit.

It's a definite probable cause.

Mine sat in the glorious Scottish rain, hail and snow for the last month without moving and fired up as soon as I turned the key *smugs*

(Although I couldn't go anywhere as theres not tax or insurance and the rear calipers are seized so I just sat there reving it and enjoying the noise

)

Hey Ben, does the GPX alternator have a regulator attached to it/built in to it or is it separate?
