Hey mate
Do a quick search, I was asking the same questions before I bought mine.
Can't remember the offset, but 215/45/r17s or 225/45/r17s are the way to go
Iv got 225s on mine

17 x 7 with around a 38 to 40 offset works. Any variation on this search for one of the many offset calculators on the web.

Hi
i just bought some wheels that a
Size: 17"x7"
Offset: +40mm
the previous owner got tyres that a 235/45/r17s
and i have notice quite a bit of scrubbing under the side from the previous set up.
so would it be safer buy 4 new tyres like you have listed? and get them put on my new wheels?
Thanks!

new wheels i got were 17x8.25 + 30 215/45R17 tyres, it scrubs at full lock and if you hit a deep bump/hole, but looks very nice

Take plastic guards out > Less weight > Infinite tyre and wheel size > ?? > profit!
But seriously, get rid of them guards, they dont do anything..

Except keep your roadworthy and therefore your insurance intact, and from a sh*t load of gunk and debris from clogging up around your door sills and keeps the water out from splashing up behind your fenders which will sit and rust out your panels from the inside out over time - so yes, > profit indeed!

17x7 or 17x7.5 offset needs to be +38 to 40
17x8 offset +35 Same as falcon
tyres need to be either 215/40R17 215/45R17 or 225/40R17 any others are illegal as far as overall rolling diameter is concerned
