Paint job question

Post by d1390 »

Hello fellow FTO drivers! :) i have recently bought a 1996 FTO GPX! its sexy as hell but it would look so much better if it had a paint re spray of black! I would just like to know if anyone knows any places around sydney that could do a professional body spray and how much it would cost for a full body spray. much appreciated! :D

Problem is that the clear gloss coat on the bonet is peeling, also on the spoiler as well. The black on the boot is like a shady white, chalky sandy type of feel, like its faded, if anyone ever seen that they know what i mean :)

i know exactly what you mean, thats what mine was doing haha,
my door is doing it now, but eh, thats the least of my problem at the moment haha,
but shes a very nice beast (: congrats

if your going to go the same colour black which is fto black, cant remember the paint code at the moment, to get the whole car done, look at anywhere between $1800 and $2500
depends where you go and how busy they are, and how nice you are :p
haha
just have a look at theyre past paint jobs, see how good they are

if you want a coulour change, and want to respray the engine bay, door seals etc, around $5000 lol
but you wouldnt notice too much from one black to another, depends how much of a perfectionist you are haha

yeah, $5000 will do all exterior panels, engine bay, all seals ie doors boot, fuel cap, complete colour change,,

or, get insurance on it, and hopefully no one comes along and keys your entire car or damages any panels you wish looked different,

but remember, your excess can be anywhere up to 1200 or so,
id just repray current colour for around 2k lol
easiest option

Ugly doesnt evan begin to describe it haha,,

take it off and drive around with no read bar at all, that will be a improvement lol
