Ridiculous Jap prices

Post by Taz »

Was browsing Upgarage and a few other JDM megastores for rims when i punched in FTO, while they dont have much in stock, what they do have is bone cheap...

http://www.upgarage.com/upgarage/stock/stock.php

Genuine GPX spoiler - $11
Genuine cusco struts - $34
unused K&N panel filter - $34

Maybe i can hunt some cheap sh*t down and get it on the container with the wheels, who knows

I'm definitely down for a front strut brace if you do this big order thing! - does anyone have any idea how much postage would be for just a strut brace?

Postage by itself is a shocker. In a box with other stuff, better. On a pallet, not bad. This is how I get stuff across (albeit I do boxes and not pallets). I think youll find that the prices listed are the current bid price, not necessarily buy price, which means that commission and possibly domestic postage within Japan would be on top (but I could be wrong). Have done wheels in the past as well. My contact in Japan will also do containers or part containers, but have never had enough stuff to bring across to justify it.This is only a small amount of stuff though. Here is the Yahoo Japan link for used FTO parts. This is what I use to find stuff to bring across:

http://auctions.search.yahoo.co.jp/sear ... 2&slider=0

And yeah, if you want to find out what it says, just pass it through Google Translate

Have been doing this for a couple of years now, so have found most of the potholes..

Keep on mind also guys all this stuff is second hand. In saying that though the japs and there used items...I'm sure dwayne gets what I'm saying lol.
Thinking of sourcing my half cut from Japan too dwayne, if I do ill fill a container of goods and hit you man up see what he van do for me. All I know is that it gives me an excuse to fly over and
suss it out over there personally :D

Well it all depends on shipping to be honest.
If we managed to full up a container with 2 half cuts, some rims a few spare parts etc etc shipping for each person would be cheap as chips, and half cuts can go as little as 1500 for a decent 4g63/6a13tt etc if you find the right deal.
Ill see how we go after the bonfire and when a few more people show some interest

i am pretty keen on the k&n panel filter and the strut, since my front one a to high and pushes against the bonnet.
