All FTO owners with aftermartket wheels - READ THIS

Post by mrx »

Something that everyone with aftermarket mags should check - went to take my wheel off today (painting calipers) and discovered that the stock tool in the FTO was too wide to fit down the holes to reach the wheel nuts.

Luckily I was at home, and not stuck on the side of the road with a flat tyre! I grabbed one off one of our other cars (anyone want to buy a '99 Civic :) ?) and it fitted.

Just something that I thought y'all should check out. It may not be a problem for most of you, but worth a look.

SilentBob - this will not apply to you :) .

good info, but perhaps you should change the title from "All FTO owners should check this" to "All those with aftermarket wheels should check this"

yeah my stock wheel nut tool was too large for the FTO bolts, so i had to buy a smaller tool for it.

You should've gotten the Wheel Tool attachment with the car. Most lock nuts come with one.

Nope! Got the lock nut (single) and it's attachment, but for the other 4 I was out of luck.
