wheels rubbing after new rims?

Post by gpx000 »

hey guys i have an issue.. i got new rims on saturday and im using the same tyres since i just got 17" which is the same size as before but when i turn and slow down i can hear a noise from my front wheels and it sounds like its rubbing? i never had this issue before and im using the same size rims and same tyres from the old rims? it just feels like my shocks are worn out for some reason.. but theyre only a year old? :?

im just worried my wheels will fall off hahaha, nah main concern is when im stopping :?

^This.

You'd think by now that people would start to check the offset before they go buying new rims.

So let me get this right, you bought news rims, that rub because the offset is wrong, but that means your shocks are now worn out? And that the new wheels might fall off? Are you drunk?

Hahahaha well I didn't buy them privately like I went to jax tyres coz for some reason I always got a flat tyre and they said it was my old rims so got new ones through them. Just thought they would know what size coz he just gave me a booklet and said to choose :?

^^^ Indeed

And furthermore, rather than going back to the shop to get them to sort out what is obviously their problem, you come here & ask us?

Dont rip it out. Because youll forever be enjoying squeaky door joints and caked sh*t and dirt everywhere along the door sills and around the mounts. Plus the water will settle and rust your guard out from the inside
