You may need an inlet manifold gasket if your one is damaged, although this is unlikely its good to have one on hand so your car isnt off the road while sourcing it.

When I asked Mitsubishi for one they told me it was a 3 week wait from Japan.

Re: Replacing spark plugs at the rear bank
I don't think the gasket should be an issue seeing as it's metal.
You may want to use something like RTV sealant though to avoid any air leaks

Yeah I never bother with a new gasket, it's a thick gasket and I can't see it breaking.spetz wrote:I don't think the gasket should be an issue seeing as it's metal.

Re: Replacing spark plugs at the rear bank
just take off all the washers before lifting the manifold off, that way none of them fall into the engine

Re: Replacing spark plugs at the rear bank
My facelift plenum/manifold doesn't have the studs on the ends which was a surprise and just has bolts instead.
I found it easier for removal but harder for refitting.

Fixed washers too so less chance of losing one.Bennoz wrote:Yeah they woke up to themselves for facelift onwards, all bolts. Same on 6A13.Rob Furniss wrote:My facelift plenum/manifold doesn't have the studs on the ends which was a surprise and just has bolts instead.

Think its to help with lining up the manifold.Rob Furniss wrote:My facelift plenum/manifold doesn't have the studs on the ends which was a surprise and just has bolts instead.
