Don't get me wrong I'd love to see it done but there's a whole lot of money needed and at the end of the day not everyone is willing to spend it.

By the time you source seats/interior motor etc etc, front panels, bumper, bonnet and all the other crap ive missed, you've spent $6k. Woops

As much as $500 looks cheap it really isn't. A lot of parts need to be sourced and as said it will end up costing thousands to finish it, not to mention the work having to put it altogether. A member recently sold a full FTO that was slightly wrecked for $650 (or $500 for FTOAU members) that still was drivable.
