Sunroof leaking
Hey,
When it rains heavily water is leaking from the front of the sunroof area and subsequently onto both the passenger n now, driver seats.
Anyone have any ideas (cheap solution) to stop this from happening?
Atm, i am temporarily plugging the issue using tissues.... not a very good look.
thanks.

Re: Sunroof leaking
Is the roof functioning correctly aside from that? Sounds like one of the plastic latches in the mechanism have snapped off.

I am having the same problem. Is the rubber around the glass starting to warp at the back?
LED ALL the things.

Re: Sunroof leaking
Drain lines aren't blocked are they?
Had a similar issue with the NX, though not familar with FTO roofs.
Remove the rubber seal, place a run of gasket goop along the seam, place rubber over the top again.
This ensure water is not getting inbetween the rubber and metal pinning.
again, not familar with FTO sunroofs through...

Re: Sunroof leaking
Bennoz- the latch has broken on one side and it leaks quicker than the drivers side
Supp- I dont have any warping of the seals, it all sits pretty tight
but i do find that if its rained, there is a small accumilation of water between the seal and the glass at the front end so that probably isnt helping me either.

Re: Sunroof leaking
the felt sun cover i currently have is a whole other story
unless you can fit into the cardboard box with the sunroof i dont think that will be a viable option for me ill have to pay for the installation n have nothing to show for it....
can u fit into a cardboard box?

i know its an old subject but did you fix the issue with your roof? If so how did you? Ages ago, it rained really hard & water got in from the sunroof...i can't remember if it was a little or a lot of water but ever since then we've put a towel there...but haven't check it for a while...but no water so far i think...

Bj

So you replaced the plastic? sorry but which part your talking about? Is it the plastic rubber around the sunroof? If you don't mind explaining exactly what you did?
