Let there be light

Post by shadowarrior »

So am trying to:
a) Change the bulb for the hand brake warning light in the dashboard.
b) Change the headlight's high beam and parker light bulbs.

Question for part a. How do i open that dash to change the bulb? Searched around but could not find any guides for it :|

Question for part b. I found a HB3 12V 65W instead of the 60W. Will that extra 5W cause much trouble?

Also noticed that QLD's modification norms mention:

"Some modern ‘blue’ halogen bulbs provide superior
illumination to traditional bulbs. These bulbs contain less
red/yellow and more blue frequencies of light to achieve
a whiter appearance. Replacement head light bulbs must
carry equivalent markings to the original bulb
(e.g. an ‘E’ mark, H4, ADR 51/.. or ECE 37/..)."

Which would imply even if my stock headlight was something around 3000k, I can fit a 5000k bulb there as long as I stick with HB3. Am I correct?
