auto issues

Post by BUZZ_QWERTY »

Hi guys. I'm having a small issue with my auto transmission, when I'm in fourth an slowing down there is a slight shudder or knock when it drops back into third. Was having another issue a while back where there was a thud that would shake the cabin every once an a while when it was changing from second to first. Do you think my transmission is on its way out? I'm getting a minor service tomorrow and having my transmission fluid flushed, do you think this will temporarily fix the issue? Thanks in advance!

haha same problem with me (everyone's transmission is playing up lately!)

I was told to check both my engine mounts. My rear mount was screwed and I'm going to replace it soon to see if that fixes the issue, I would say that would be the case. Flushing my transmission fluid didn't have much effect.

Im actually going to have to agree with this troll. Again, ive had 1 20min quick job fix i was aware of, but apart from that my car has never missed a beat - whats with all of your sh*t boxes breaking down?
guess the scale goes like this

my car > an average car > non reliable car > FTO's > Shitboxes > shitbox FTO's > something worse > something worse > something worse > something worse > Matt's FTO on a good day >something worse > Matt's FTO on an average day (unfortunately ive only got 60k characters so i cant do this to get to on a bad day but u get the picture matt  :thebird:
Maybe it wont break down as much when you throw my wheels on? getting chink's soon so mine will be up for grabs - maybe u should get my GPR wing while your at it, least your car canyt get any worse yea?

LOL, I'm to lazy to go manual conversion, anyway got my service done and it seems to be fine now, even thought my mechanic didn't do anything to the transmission??? not that I'm complaining, I'm trying to spend as little as I can on the fto.. wanna upgrade to something bigger and newer next year... Check your transmission oil first. Is it red?

60k is nothing on the Fto. Get near 100k and mine had a hissy fit.
