Kilometers are in the high end, not bad, but high.

Depending on the mechanical prowess of the owner it might require some servicing.

No

Means, if hes mechanically minded and serviced it, replaced worn things as they get worse, not let the car run into the ground.

How can you tell if the "mechanical prowess" is good or not. take it to a mechanic before you buy it?

Yeah, take it to a mechanic if you can and invest in it's inspection or else you will spend more in repairs shortly... Looks like it's been modded to performance though...

I assume NRMA has the same option as RACQ to get vehicle inspections done, if so get one so that you have an independent mechanic checking over the car and looking for faults. If not, have a mechanic of YOUR choosing and not the sellers, look at the vehicle for you.

You're bound to have to spend some extra $$ on it. Keep in mind it's 15years old.

I'd never purchase a 15year old car without having someone with me who knows their stuff. So If I were you I'd probably ask a friend or family member (who knows what to look out for) to go down with you.

Roof rust
noisy tappets (or any weird noise)
check if side mirrors work (fold in and out)
Oil leaks (check under the car)

Make sure you take a GOOD LOOK at the roof for any rust spots. If not, question the seller if he has had any roof rust etc etc.

Things you're most likely going to have to replace when trying to get a road worthy are brake pads and windscreen. Also any brake line leaks etc etc (most likely will be leaking somewhere there).

In all honesty, if you have the extra money...stay away from this car and get something newer haha.

Your also going to have trouble getting those wheels passed.
18"+ isn't passable on the fto correct guys?

Oh and you might not pass EPA either so you'd be looking at bolting on the stock exhaust (if he still has it)
