battery power/stereo? is 500cca enough?

Post by phi-tec »

hey guys, iv had my system in for a few weeks now, pdx 600w and a type r, my battery i think is 500-550 CCA id have to double check, it runs fine and all, but ever since installing , my battery light tends to show up a lot, i cant see voltage meter cause i got aftermarket dials, and my battery has never died etc, just curious as to if this would be a problem at all? cause it has been a few weeks with no issues, but should i be lookin at gettin it checked or gettin a bigger battery etc? cause after reading a bit 500cca seems to be a decent amount

thanks

What do u mean exactly? It's an alpine Pdx 1.600 (mono). Yeah I checked the wiring seems all good and he fact it's been running fine for weeks now pretty much proves it. I just don't understand the battery light bit. Cause if it was draining too much. It would have well have died by now. Light on battery itself stays green. Only assumption as to a solution I can think of is to get a higher rated battery. ATM it seems fine so I prefer to not blow anymore cash, just worried If it's gonna be bad later on
