Where I get fuel hose? Mine split. Help please!!!
My fuel hose has split right near the fuel filter. It's the part that goes from the fuel filter to the engine.
Where can I buy it from? Has it got a part number? Is it interchangeable?
Please help, need this part fairly urgently.
Cheers
Brenton

Exactly, just whip up your own. Can buy fuel line in per metre lengths from Super Cheap / Auto One / Repco type places.
Or you could cut the split section out & just throw in a joiner. Again, available from ^^^ ^^^ ^^^ type places.
Failing that - Dwayne.

update: decided to take off intake manifold to make it easier to get to fuel filter, fuel filter is out and so is broken hose. i have already got a new fuel filter.
want to change rear spark plugs while im there
i was thinking aq joiner would be a good idea because of where its broken, is there much pressure in these fuel lines?

just make sure you use an EFI rated hose and clips, there differant to the standard ones.
going fast doesn't kill you, it's the sudden stop that does.

gonna sound stupid but they didnt have any so i used to normal new ones and did the fairly tight and theres no leaks. i thos hose i got was a really tight fit i even had to use a bit of motor oil to get it on. all is well although the side that the fuel pump is on the thread dosent go all the way into the new fuel filter but it dosent leak is this normal?

you don't need to rev it. the fuel pump runs at a constant speed and pressure.

Re: Where I get fuel hose? Mine split. Help please!!!
ooh ok well i did anyway lol changed the front sparkies 5 thousand kms ago with iridiums but from now on im using only copper spark plugs for: (what my reasearching has led me to believe)
the small amount of extra power (copper is way more conductive then iridium and platnium upto 3 times)
the price
the fact that when copper plugs go its easier to diagnose the problem supposedly
i know they will last oly 10-15k but thats a year and a half for me and its not as hard of a job as everyone makes out to get to the rear plugs.

So how was the line repaired? Cut brass line in half and two clamps?silverGPX wrote:Dude, ive seen a car burn to the ground because of a leaky fuel pipe.
Fuel lines have stamped fittings and metal hoses for a reason! Let's see how long your repair can hold back over 50psi. You will defiantly know when it does start leaking, the fuel can't miss the exhaust!!
I would get a second hand hose if the brass fitting is stuffed.
