Re: A day of interestingness! Opinions please

My advice is you f**k that twisty left hand side s**t off and have a single pipe with dual tip on the right, and if your that set on the 4 pipe setup then get a mock up done on the left. Would just need to cut the tips off and attach them to the left and get a silencer.
Would have less weight (

Re: A day of interestingness! Opinions please
While we were on the subject of exhausts i quickly whipped out to see the size of mine. I always thought it was the 2.5" version of the super drager meant for NA cars. My tape measure says its a fricken 3.5" pipe with a 4.5" tip! Stainless steel mandrel bent pipes at 3.5"....overkill much wtf was this guy planning to do with my car if he didnt sell it?
Not complaining though - my gain n it wont need to be replaced later on for when my car becomes a symbol of pure. sex.

Yep, there the ones, I managed to buy them both together off eBay for a pretty good price.Valandis91 wrote:Hey shane! Is this it?

Do these 100% fit? and do they have enough adjustment to bring the rear back into line?
Theres also these
http://www.meganracing.com/product_deta ... 9&catid=54
which are for rear toe control...
Like I said I haven't installed or tested these yet but they look the goods.

Alrighty!
So the plan so far:
- Buy megan racing control arms (to fix alignment issue)
- Keep similar set up but with larger muffler and smoother bends after muffler + Track Pipe
Thank you shane! Just about to buy these off ebay. Not that I can afford this really...
But it will save me in the long run with tyres!
Heres the link for others:

Still keeping the same weird pipe setup? Going in the opposite direction if your wanting a quieter ride.Valandis91 wrote: - Keep similar set up but with larger muffler and smoother bends after muffler + Track Pipe![]()
1 in, 1 out to 1 side, dummy the other - problem solved

Id just add a 2nd resonator cheapest, easiest and proven most effective.

Ive realised that i really rushed everything before. None of that.
Careful planning and R&D from now on

I'm really hoping these do the job!Shane001 wrote:Yeah that's the seller I bought mine offValandis91 wrote:Heres the link for others:

While those lower arms are quite nice, why not just replace the camber bolts & washers?
I had the same issue with rear alignment & I just pinched a set of bolts & washers off a Lancer at Pick & Pay Less, he didn't even charge me for them
And that second pipe setup is pretty ordinary! Hows that sh*t angle they welded onto?! Dodgy...
+1 on second resonator. Or going up a size on the first resonator. You can go up to an 18 inch I believe is the biggest.

I'll replace the camber bolts and washers too. I want the trailing arms from the lancer as well since they are reinforced.Bennoz wrote:While those lower arms are quite nice, why not just replace the camber bolts & washers?

I bought the arms for ease of alignment and just in case my rear is actually bent...
Does having a big resonator affect flow?

No, just sound.Valandis91 wrote:Does having a big resonator affect flow?
It's the difference between having a canon and a muffler of equal length. 1 simply having more in it to dampen the tone.

No. Resonators are not baffled like some mufflers.

If you're getting the Megan Racing arms I wouldn't worry about the bolts & washers, just lock em up tight and do your adjusting with the arms. I bought new washers for mine and they were fucked again after first use, but then I was adjusting to extremes (1.5 deg camberValandis91 wrote:I'll replace the camber bolts and washers too. Also if your chassis is bent then you probably should still get this checked out as it could lead to other problems. Doubt it though, if you look at the figures they gave you for your current settings then have a good look underneath and in the manual at where your adjustments are set, I bet they will account for each other.

I cant track it till then either because that passenger rear tyre will get chewed through like nothing else

Such as what problems? I wouldve thought that the suspension components would be weaker than the chassis so they would give way first as well :S

Yep, also check all your bushes in the rear especially the big one at the front of the rear trailing arm and check none of the suspension components appear damaged or bent, if so replace.
