Oil Light Blinks???

Post by sarp »

Hi, i just parket my fto and started 2 mins later then realised that oil light blinks then I drove it 200 meters while i was driving i realised light was not blinking anymore then parked again just before i stopped the car checked light and it was blinking again...
What the heck does that supposed to mean? Change your oil ASAP or drive few more hundreds of kms and then change???
BTW I am in melb , if i have to change it now where should I go for a reasonable price?

Firstly check both your brake fluid and oil levels to see they are in the right range. One of them most likely isn't.

Where abouts in Melbourne are you? If you're close to me (SE suburbs) feel free to drive over and I can check (it takes 2 seconds) or see a mechanic to get a service done.

If you're driving all the way to Brisbane it might be worth getting a service done anyway before the drive :)

If it's before the 12th I won't really have time sorry :\ only free starting this weekend.

maybe you should just top up the oil

Oil light generally means it's running a little low ;)
