When you spend as much time as I do fighting understeer, I appreciate any help I can get from the rear. Its very much a personal preference ;)

Yes rear toe out is more "dangerous" but with natural tendency to understeer in a FWD I think rear toe out can help turn better.

Bennoz, are you saying front toe in helps with traction? I would think considering the front wheels may flex forward that toe out with under power cause 0 toe which would be best for traction?

Not sure how many degrees 1mm is but it's not a lot, so shouldn't affect tyre wear too much, could always go 0.5mm instead.

FWD have a tendency to understeer under acceleration.

Again toe out on the front will help with this, as will toe in on the rear to help keep the whole car stable. if u're understeering into corners under braking you're over driving the capability of the car. Look at your tyres (including pressures) and suspension setup.

Yeah i think i'd rather play it safe and not have toe out in the rear... Mine feels like it wants to slide out and has a couple of times and its not the most fun!!!
Plus if i soften the front suspension does that not help with turn in? Cos i easily adjust damper with my shocks.

I also find it pointless to accelerate until im pretty much on a straight line again!

I'm tending towards shane's set up. Plus i'll add the ultra racing lower front arm brace and a cusco rear arm bar.
and i should be set to tackle Tasmania's glorious twisting roads for the summer :D

Very much up to you Val. Like most of us, you've had the car for years, try a few different settings & pick what you like best. Suspension setups are a very personal thing, you know the basics of what does what, just work around it till you are comfortable. The guys at Jax Blacktown now let me use the alignment machine myself I'm down there that often, I just have to bring a case of beer down every few visits :D

Even with my subframe & chassis braced, I get huge flex under hard acceleration. So if I start with it toe'd out, it toes out even further under load, making the take off abhorrent. Wants to slingshot me into the nearest power pole - hence the toe in. But again, this wont apply to everyone, its my preference.

Speaking of new tyres they have arrived :D
I want to finish off the current set after exams at a track day maybe?
Then chuck these on :) EXCITEMENT

I wish i could play around with my settings like that. At the moment, even with worn tyres, I'm quite surprised at how much grip i get around corners. Going through some of the Targa stages is quite fun ;)
I always get commented on the grip and how flat it is around corners I love it :)

I remembered when I had to replace one of my tyres but was quoted $300 bucks for it so I decided to put on a cheapo $180 buck tyre. Worst decision ever as whenever I brakes hard it was always the first tyre to lock up.

Never skimp on tyres ever again.
