Rear View Mirror vibrating/rattling

Post by peterm3150 »

Hi all,

I have just recently finished Dynamat-ing my FTO (1 bulk pack - did the doors, boot lid, rear quarter panels, parcel shelf). Got rid of all the rattles except for 1 big one, and that's the rear view mirror! If I hold the glass tight with my hand, I get musical heaven with no other rattles to speak of. I just have to fix this one last thing!

Anyone managed to stop theirs rattling? As a last resort, would it even be possible to use a rear view mirror from a different model car?

Thanks.
Pete

Pull it apart & stuff a rag in it to press the glass out against the frame?
