You have to ground out pin 1 on the diagnostic port connector under the steering wheel, I think pin 4 is a ground so you may be able to put a paper clip in between 1 and 4 but never tried the paper clip method myself on an FTO. I just bared a bit of the insulation sheath on the wire to pin one and spliced a wire to this and left it on but out of the way, could then just touch it against something metal in the car and switch the ignition on to get the error codes up (wiring in a switch at some stage would be better).
If you do this see what codes you get and make a note of them and then disconnect the battery for a few seconds to reset the codes, connect bat again and start the engine (new codes should be logged). Switch off, ground pin 1 again and turn ignition on and then make a note of the new codes.
There's probably a guide on here somewhere.
But I too am thinking vac pipe not on or split as it seems to be hunting.

First codes:
23 - Camshaft Position Sensor
Disconnected the battery.. Reconnected after a few minutes
Second codes:
No codes at all, just continuous flashing. So it wasn't picking up any fault.
Disconnected the diag grounding.. Turned the car on and let it idle for ~3-4 minutes.. Issue came back and engine light went on.
Plugged the diag ground back in.
Third codes:
22 - Crank Angle Sensor
23 - Camshaft Position Sensor

Yeah I reckon you've had a belt (or part of a belt) let go & rip up the crank / cam angle sensor wires. They're right next to each other on the timing belt end of the engine.
Usually the sensor(s) will be fine, just need to rewire them.

Yeh I noticed they were next to each other when I went over the workshop manual. RPW already replaced the crank angle sensor. Perhaps they missed a broken cable, or somehow it's broken itself again whilst I've been driving. Hmm. Make sure the connector plugs are on ok first, unplug them then plug them back in and see how you go.
Failing that yeah it should be simple to rewire the cables.

Man I copped a similar issue where the car was stalling and revs jumping around. Even if I had the gas on it would still stall.
It was the afm plug being lose. Tied a zip tie around it to make sure the plug was tight and it's been fine every since.

Start car and wait till symptoms arise. Disconnect the MAF. Does the running change at all ie running worse stay the same?
Yes, now runs worse (and stalls) --> MAF is fine on to next problem
No, stays running the same as before --> Good indication your MAF is screwed borrow someone's to check, if you get really stuck I could send you one to borrow.

btw RPW replaced the Crank Sensor, not the Camshaft Sensor.

Yeh I would have thought so. BTW where is the MAF/AFM/MAS on the GPX? Any one got a picture?

Its a MAS & it's located right in the middle of the bulkhead behind the intake manifold. Looks a bit dinky, sticks out like a sore thumb.

Oh lol it's a gpx sorry mate I didn't realise. Yes it is map sensor not MAF sensor. I don't know why the stupid Aussie is calling it a mas lol.

Got the same revs dropping on both, however when unplugged the car was idling at ~1.5k rpm.. and when plugged in it was idling ~700-900 rpm,
Which leads me to believe there's nothing wrong with the MAP/MAS unit.

Agreed. I still feel it is the stepper motor but the fact that it is still throwing those 2 error messages concerns me. Why did rpw only replace the one sensor and not the other?
For all the money you have spent with them they should be fixing this not you.
