QLD Severe HAIL and weather warning

Hi all

Just thought id give us fto owners a chance to save the cars.. qld bom just issued a severe thunder storm and hail for brisbane areas

For people in the Southeast Coast and parts of the Central Highlands and Coalfields, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett, Maranoa and Warrego and Darling Downs and Granite Belt Forecast Districts.

Issued at 1:43 pm Tuesday, 30 August 2011.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Emerald, Clermont, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Brisbane, Maroochydore, Gympie, Moreton Bay and islands and Kingaroy.

Emergency Management Queensland advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.

nice, im already home with my baby locked up, and the thunder and lightning is starting to come now,
hope no one gets any damage

im going to be driving right through it with my yellow beastie lol .. i hope it doesnt hail ... until after im home then its fine

Yip, it hailed I was in it. Thank god for company cars.

so who actually got some hail, im on the sunshine coast, all i got was a bit of lite rain, thinder and lightning, thats it,
hope no ones car got damaged
