Tyres i'm contemplating getting.

AUSTONE ATHENE SP-7 225/45R17

What's everyone think? They are 120 dollars per tyre.

My dad has them on his car and says they are great in the wet and dry. As good as pirelli.
I take his opinion quite seriously most of the time.

im not sure on them,
i have yokahama R1 on mine, and they stick like a mother most of the time, but they cost 200 ish
try going to your nearest global tyre, and getting a second hand set, theyre usually about 90% tread and about $60 each, or 90 for a pair, see what u can find

crap cheap sh*t, when it comes to tyres do yourself a favour and dont skimp on them they are all that keep you on the road. You dont have to have the top end but at leat get something reasonable

And correct size should be 215/40r17 or you can get away with 215/45R17

^All of the above. For that size & they way you drive, you should be spending $160+ per corner.

what tyres do u pay 270 for?
i paid 220 a corner for yokahama r1
ive got 205 on mine, can go 225 on current rims, but i wanna go wider once i work out the best way to do it,
and make my wheel arches haha

I paid A LOT more than that but run Yokohama AD08 225/40R18

Sizing you have to take into consideration the wider the tyre the lower the profile you have to go or rolling diametre will be too far out. This in turn effects correct speedo rating, legality and insurance

At the end of the day, ive come to learn one universal truth and this applies to tyres most of the time - you pay for what you get
