Best Oil Filter

Is there an oil filter which everyone agrees to be the best or are they all about the same?

Most people try & avoid Ryco. They used to be made in Australia & they used to be good, now being made in Aisa & they're sh*t.

I personally use Coopers.

If you really want to spend a buck, K&N also do one.

I have had nothing but issues with coopers (leaking twice). I use ryco no dramas here

haha, yeah where did that 'Ryco oil filters are sh*t' myth(?) originate from...

I've always used Ryco (except on the racecar), my old man (mechanic) has always used Ryco, never had any issues

It originally came from quite a comprehensive filter comparison. I'll try find the link.

The guy actually cut up the filters & compared internal parts.

What about taking into account all filters, which may not be available in Oz and could be ordered online?
Or is K&N as good as possible?

Purolator. Pioneer of oil filters. It rank quite high up the comparison list. Try google "oil filter review" and you will see them.
But its quite rare in oz now. Manage to buy all of its stocks (12x) from an autoshop in newcastle.

Value for money the genuine Mitsubishi filter is probably the best option.
If you want to spend a bit more go the K&N.
