i bought these from the same guy on ebay.

http://www.cyberspaceautoparts.com.au/c ... Motor.html

i bought it straight from the website and it cost me $108.80 including delivery to Parramatta.

as eddi said, the box said its for a 4 cyl car but i cant spot any difference when i eyeballed it.

it fit without any issues and it started and idled for 10 mins without any dramas. i'm going to take it out for a spin tomorrow to introduce the new stepper motor to the ecu.

edit... the 98 fto technical manual states that the engine is a 6A12 so i think its pretty safe to say that its compatible.

The 2 Litre Galant has the same engine as the GR, so it should be alright.

Yehp, might want to add, ask for the HJ Galant version instead of the 2L FTO - the one specifically for the 2L fto is 200 ish where the HJ Galant version (the one i bought) is about 110 8O - Let me say again, that the HJ Galant version is a straight fit.
