A cheaper alternative is to simply spray paint the existing plastic surround.
Doing this in a metallic paint doesn't look as good as the alumium surround, but it is a lot cheaper. Doing it in a non-metallic colour (e.g. white, red etc.) can look really good, but it also depends upon what else you've done ot your interior.

It might be very expensive and you might opt to buy those components one at a time, but I would still recommend installing them all in one go. That way you don't have to pull apart your dash more than oncesmorison wrote:you don't have to buy it all in one go thoughBeme007 wrote:That complete set will be very expensive . !~

Hello,
Does the needle cups come with the ones for the clock and the voltmeter?
Cause I saw one done on some one else's FTO and they only had it for the dash and none for the clock and the voltmeter and it looked bad!
Can they get the whole set?
Or do they come as a set like that but that guy just didn't have it for his FTO?
Thanks,

Have a look in the FTO Shop, it states it comes with 6 cups to cover all the needles:

I would kill, to see some dials for the few of us, with vacume and oil temp gauges, instead of the uselsess clock and volt meter!!!ruchi wrote:Yes,fto12345 wrote:Does the needle cups come with the ones for the clock and the voltmeter?

But unlike the speedo, the clock still work when you put the needles back, i've done it on mine, & had no problem.rxboy wrote: I'm also one of the guilty party. Got the whole set, but haven't bothered to install the clock and voltmeter rings. It's a little bit more complicated because you actually have to take the clock needles off.
