Just wondering who else has actually turbo'd the fto engine and what power are you getting?
as it seems a lot of you guys seem to have done an engine conversion

Re: 6A12T anyone
Thats not bad power at the wheels to be honest.
I should have dyno results in 3-4 weeks even though I have a fully forged build im not looking for big power as im looking to try get as much of it down as I can for racing

Yeah, it's a nice amount to have and thanks to the tip box I get very little wheel spin which makes for fast getaways.

Ireland.
Im using a lot of the same electronic kit as you.
But using a VF34 turbo from a type R suberau as its a very quick spooling turbo.
For now im using 350cc injector's
Fully forged internals. (iv the same extra injector but have decided to remove it.
im hoping to have the forged rebuild finished first week in september so ill let you know how I get on.
Have you played around with the mivec at all.
Have you MSN?

I'd be interested to hear what you did for the forging.d_dan wrote:Ireland.

As for MIVEC, no I've not touched it.
I do have MSN but never go on it. Send me a PM and we'll take it form there if you like.

Re: 6A12T anyone
What compression are you running?
im using 8:5:1 compression gorged CP pistons, rings, gudgon pins.
Then using PAR forged I beam rods,
I was looking at your dyno printouts I recon the dip in power when you hit mivec is the loss of pressure due to the valve overlap with the mivec cam. have you played with the cam timing? Retarding the cams a little might help.
My plan is to change the camshafts mivec lobe to an agressive turbo profile and then change the Mivec from being RPM activated to have it Boost activated. So it should be very smooth down low as a cruiser but will be a different machine all together when the boot is down

If I'm running low boost, I just get the surge, if I'm running high boost then I get bothValandis91 wrote:do you get wheel spin when you change gears?AJ wrote:Yeah, it's a nice amount to have and thanks to the tip box I get very little wheel spin which makes for fast getaways.
