brake help

Post by leoshin10 »

hi everyone, i bought some front brake pads and brake fluid.
firstly prepared my front driver side for a brake pad change.
i bleeded the brake fluid from the caliper.
then tried the brake pad but was the wrong size didnt fit at all, so i put my old brakes back in.
i topped up the brake fluid just to max.
and went out for a drive, and noticed, my brakes dont work properly.
i have to fully push back my brake pedal, and still doesnt stop (still rolls slowly).
it feels like its loose and something ive done is wrong (obviously).
also today my TCL lights keep coming on, i think its gone out but does this have anything to do with the brakes?
thanks guys

Check your headlight fluid, might be a bit low.

Try to never go DIY with brakes. It's some dangerous sh*t. If you get a professional to fix them atlases your ass is covered incase they fail.

Why do you have a subwoofer in the middle of your dash?

You've got air in the lines. You need to bleed them again.

Did you let the master cylinder resevior go too low when doing the initial bleed? Thats where your air would have gone in. You need to top it up with fresh fluid as you bleed.

It's not a sub. It's there to help balance the sound.

I've done it

NRMA wont even attempt roadside brake repairs, public liability premiums are not worth the risk. They just send a tow truck.

Haha well I have snapped a caliper bolt in a hub once. Pissed me right off. That's why you have 4 calipers so if one fails you got three left haha.
