Federal 595ss's are good but they turn to nothing in the wet... That said, its still pretty good bang for your buck since Pam Anderson came to town.

Bah, dish is non existent
Actually 595ss's are quite good in the right conditions... I actually can tail out a little due to the strong front grip... I have some falkens at the rear...

Edit: $470 for 4 federal 595 delivered to my door is a good price yes? - are they what I'm looking for? - Will 235s be too wide??

I haven't put them on the front though .. I know most of the guys here have no drama's, but it will depend on your wheel offset.. FRE55H put 235's on the front of his, and it scrapes like a bitch ... But that is with rims that came off a riceline... So offset would not be the desired one..

I would not get the RS again ( ones in the pic ^^^^^)rock_it wrote:I want that tyre/rim combo... Freaking hot...Bennoz wrote:Still reckon the Federal 595's are the best bang for buck for UHP street tyres.
They go hard after 3-4 times of being heated up to a good running temp.
RSR's for the win.

Re: Cheap Quality Tires Hookups
Somehow I don't think they're for track days Aza
Just be wary buying tyres off Ebay, check the manufacture date on the tyres & ask how they've been stored.
As they most certainly have a shelf life & Ebay is the best way for them to get rid of old stock.

Re: Cheap Quality Tires Hookups
I'll be trying the Falken FK452 for my fronts in 215/45/17
Good reviews but its about $200 a tyre but i'll cop it. Seems to be a good tyre according to reviews.

Fantastic grip in the wet, good grip in the dry.
Have had mine for nearly 30,000k's now and only barely getting to the point where i am thinking of replacing them probably in the next 5-10,000k's
can definitely have a lot of confidence in these tyres

Nice! Have you tried Fed 595SS's Do you reckon FK452's have better dry grip?Valandis91 wrote: Fantastic grip in the wet, good grip in the dry.

Marginally cheaper then the RS-R's not RS (also known as SS).phunkydude wrote:Aren't your ku36s cheaper?Bennoz wrote:Still reckon the Federal 595's are the best bang for buck for UHP street tyres.
The Kumho alternative that is in the same range as the RS/SS would be the KU31

Re: Cheap Quality Tires Hookups
Nooooo..... In 225/45/18 the Feds were $180 a pop, the KU36s area bracket up, they're not considered a UHP, rather a proper semi. I went up a size to 235/45/18 with the KU36s, but they were signifigantly more at $250 a pop.phunkydude wrote:Aren't your ku36s cheaper?Bennoz wrote:Still reckon the Federal 595's are the best bang for buck for UHP street tyres.
As mentioned above, equivalent to the 595SS's is the KU31 in Khumo. Dunno about pricing on them...
