Funniest Reactions from passengers

Post by mrx »

Just took a couple of mates for a "demo" of the FTO last night. The reactions were genuinely amusing after my very short but spirited session.

1. Just after I hit the brakes from the possibly ever so slightly illegal speed, the comment was made "Does anybody else here have a small willie?". This was accompanied by some nervous laughter.

2. "It is like being in a video game. but it is real."

It was not like I had done anything really pushing the limits of the car. I will leave that for when it is safe and legal to do so. But until you get used to the handling of cars like these, it does take you by surprise.

What have other responses been?

ive had mixed reactions

totally white faced and petrified, grabbing at my arm telling me to stop (my reaction being, dont touch the driver! no matter what you do!)

telling me off saying im gonna kill someone

words of praise and excitement like they were going on a amusement park ride

usually guys will just be really impressed with the cornering and handling, "man this corners is better than the integra i had a couple of years back" (he'd spent a hell of a lot of money on that one, getting 170kw+ at the flywheel)

a bad one was when a drunk girl in the back threw up, but luckily she was considerate enough to land it all on her hand bag

once i had 3 guys in the back (in my first fto) and one guy cracked the screen on his mobile, and left a crack on the plastic armrest/indent at the back

my ex gf pulled up by my side when i had just recently bought the car.
Her expression on her face was priceless when she saw that i was driving the car. She was cursing herself!!

Other incidents involve my sister test droving it while I was crapping myself!!

i dont get a reaction! ITs becuase the FTO handles so well, that it gives out the perception your not gonig around a corner that quick!

But in my EL falcon less corner speed, but a lot of screams!

8O Sorry to hear that ed, what causes them to be sick, to they suffer from motion sickness, is the car overly bumpy? Or is it your driving

I'll never forget I took my mum to my brothers place and I was travelling down a familiar road the day after I just did a twisties cruise around the Dandenongs........ well kinda forgot that my mum was the passenger and began to drive a little bit like I was opn my own..... the next minute my mum was in tears telling me she never wanted to get in the car with me again.... and that she wanted me to sell the car because it was too fast for me to drive........
Sorry Mum xx

1/2 way around a round-about with the back end hanging out was enuff to get a white terror look of "WTF are u doing?" from my GF..which was promptly followed by the sheepish question "can we do that again?"

ith all your storys about your mums I had to share. My mum was in the car one day well I flicked in sign ways on a dirt car park(in the laser not an FTO), it was slow and in control enough to pull up when a car approached from the opposite direction. ANyway, I would laughing for days after when the lady in the other car was shaking her head at me but all I could hear was my mum laughing her head of, go mum thanks for being a champ!
