Re: Cheap and easy mods
lol, please post details of you, your ride, and your idea of cheap
yes, pod filter is a good start.... then strut braces.... then exhaust
bit by bit modding is easier in that order then you can move onto things like an ecu piggyback, headers, gearbox, engine
good luck and WTTC

WTTC
this is a good link for pod
http://ftoaustralia.com/v3/viewtopic.ph ... pod+filter
as for strut, you can use the search function and they are heaps of info about them.
I am using cusco at atm, really can feel the better handling. Or you can try to get a GPvR braces but I reckon its pretty hard to find one.
btw, since you mentioned it had done a lot of Kms probably spend some time to see if anything need to be replaced first then proceed to mods. Mine had high k's when i got it and couple of things like engine mount and bushes were pretty worn out.

Re: Cheap and easy mods
I work in projects. 'cheap' is not a word we use. You need to be more specific. E.G. To me 'cheap' might be $5000. To you it might be $10,000.
Most people do go for pod filters and CIA kits when they first get an FTO. I did too
That's an 'Easy mod' but again 'easy' is objective, for me all mods are easy because I pay someone to do them for me, do you want to do them yourself? It also depends on what you want. Do you want to go fast in a straight line or rip it up on the track? Brakes can take as many seconds off your lap time as a full exhaust system and an ECU (but abviously it's not as fun buying brakes
)
Maybe come out on a cruise and have a look at the mods we have and that might help you. Also search the pages here for loads of info. Post some pics up of your ride!

Re: Cheap and easy mods
yeah....i suggest you look for a reliable mechanic and spend abit of $ to replace those wear and tear components and make the FTO back to good health again before modding it.silverGPX wrote:holy sh*t 280,000km

Re: Cheap and easy mods
I would reccomend bushes, droplinks, balljoints and tie rod ends.
