As for my beast. It feels (and sounds) a lot better with three new swaybar links.
I'm going to take it to my reputable tire place on Saturday and get them to check out the balance/alignment/tires (again..) and I'm not walking away till the shakes are gone.
So, given I can fix the wheel wobble on Saturday and I can handle the loose steering column for the trip - I should be able to drive my own car!

just quickly guys- is everyone actually having a feed at the Wisemans Ferry Inn/Hotel?
i made a booking for around 60 seats(were now up to about 75 cars, plus mates)
and told them i would confirm with a more approximate number close to or on the day
