Low fuel light

hi what level on the fuel gauge does the light usually come on? mines pointing at empty but the warning light never came on so im guessing its broken. if so whats involved in fixing that? thanks

I think mines the same, i think the fuel light is busted...

The light comes on when there is 8-10L of fuel left in the tank.

Yeah but where would the needle be pointing on the gauge at that point?

It changes with each car mate :?
The only way you can find out is to run the fuel down. But then you run a chance of picking up sh*t from the bottom of he tank.

When you're well below the empty line, try park it on sloped surface to the right.
Or park it with the left wheels up the road kerb, this should triggers the light.

mine doesnt turn on till its like slightly passed the empty sign. so yea....took a risk and found out i can drive way way way below the empty sign haha. but i dont want to be held responsible if you run outta fuel.

^ I took this risk too lol. Wednesday night after work had fuel light on leaving work (70km) drive home and made it. Filled up at bp 5km from home Thursday morning and put 55.15L of fuel into the tank when the bowser clicked itself off. Got 610km from a tank. Epic economy.

My light doesn't glow until after the the dial is below empty.
LED ALL the things.
