So help please

Post by nikhan »

Ok There is a little leak at the passenger side (right hand side towards the bottom) whenever I turn my heater on. Its ok when the ac is on and the leak isnt too bad. Just thought of having a look at it before it gets worst. Any suggestions on what i should be looking at?

Next is that my ciggeratte lighter is not working. Parts of it came out and I found a fuse as well. Tried fixing it but no avail...had sparks coming out of it when i tried connecting it back and it is never tight. Anyone knows any DIY for it?

Sounds like the plastic pipes that attach the hoses from the engine bay to the heatercore are leaking, thats the most common as its the weakest point. You have to remove the heatercore to replace them. Dash out job however its easier if you have no gas in your aircon as you just have to take out the evaporator instead of the whole dash.

Yep heater core for sure. Fun job. Also if you are insistent on driving around with a coolant leak, just make sure you keep the levels up so you don't overheat

Well I don't think its coolant. I'm pretty sure its water. Air con water from condensation perhaps? But I will take not of the engine temperature as well. So far the temp guage hasnt gone pass the midway line anyway.
