Re: FRE55H version 4.0
Well I thought I may as well update this thread..
Got a fair bit done on the weekend..
1) replaced the dash... Well u know what a dash looks like, but here was it stripped..

2) Replaced the standard Mitsubishi wheel with Momo goodness..
Before:

After:

Only thing to do with the wheel is to wire the horn, as it is a different set up..
3) We installed the EL Kick panels, but, I didn't get a chance to take a happy snap.. So that will follow soon..
4) was stereo, but I will let long post more about that..
Still to come will be interior.. And hopefully one day, Long will wash it.. Blahahahah

The Dash lights now work, but still need a globe to be replaced on the speedo side.
Still need to wire the horn, and get the side mirrors to fold again.

I miss my Momo
Meanwhile, I know the trick for the horn bit if you want some insight!
Might also have a spare part you can use.

Re: FRE55H version 4.0
You need a horn slip ring with single wire from a boss kit, doesn't matter which, any will do.
With that you find the level where the slip ring is making enough contact with the contact point from the steering column, and mark it on the shaft of the steering wheel spline.
Using some hot glue, or hard setting silicon, fill the gaps to set the slip ring in place on the steering wheel shaft.
feed wire from slip ring to wire within steering wheel for horn buttons.
Job done.

Do you happen to have a spare slip ring ?You need a horn slip ring with single wire from a boss kit, doesn't matter which, any will do.

Re: FRE55H version 4.0
I have one from one of my spare Magna kits.
This particular boss has a spline that is slightly too big for the actual kit to be safe, so it was going to the bin otherwise.
All yours if you want it.
