Radiator leak passenger seat !!!

Ok so i have a leak that seems to be coming from behind the glove box somewhere
i would like to fix this myself but dont know exactly how to get/remove everything behind the glove box
if you guys could help that would be great thanks

The heater core has a leak, I hear they are a bitch to replace too.

It seems to be looking that way glove box is gone cant really seems to get much further

Thanks guys will PM him soon .is there anyway i could maybe stop the leak myself or is replacement the only option i have it out of the car now :) didnt take that long at all

You should be able to join the 2 heater pipes together in the inital instance to stop the leaking. Youll lose the heater, but at least you can drive the car. The heater core itself is at the back of the heater unit just to the left of the pedals. It normally takes about 1.5 hours to get it out (without disconnecting the aircon). If you did it quicker without disconnecting the aircon and removing the dash, how.

    damn.. i think i have the same problem now.. :(

    does anyone have a guide to getting access to the heater core?

    Well, you can bypass it by joining the 2 heater hoses together, but you lose your heater.

    To change the heater core you need to remove the dashboard. Is a bitch of a job. Allow 3 hours (or a pocketfull of money). I have done or been involved in about 10 of these now. Havent done a guide myself (would be fairly involved) and not aware of one from anywhere else.

      Its a bitch, but do able for a noob with Dwayne's help. Just make sure EVERY plug is plugged back in when you put it all back together or you won't be going anywhere.. :lol:

      google 'replace matrix in mitsubishi fto' a guy in Ireland has put up a thread on haw to remove the matrix.
