fitting R32 GTR wheels

Post by BUZZ_QWERTY »

please help! I have bought R32 GTR wheels and I am having trouble fitting them...
they feel like they fit flush, but when you drive the car it shutters and wobbles...
do the GTR wheels need to be modified to fit (eg. bored out)????

JFGI... Just f**king Google It.. Lol..

GTFO = Get The f**k Out...

He is having a bit of fun with ya cause you got sky.line rims..

But yeah, you are going to have to have a good look at the wheels.. And try to see why they wobble.. Something is not fitting right.. I think someone mentioned in your other thread that the centre whole of the rim needs to be drilled out.. Or could just need a nice bang to push it on..
I just had to add it ......

Mine were the opposite. Had R33 GTR BBS wheels, and could get the from on, but the offset for the tear had way too much dish, and actually hit on the chassis rail there..

bahaha... yeah i did dude...
was so easy to get off... I just didn't want to wreck
them last time cause i thought i might not be able to
get the old wheels back on if the new ones didn't fit.

right now i have my old *~delightful!~* chromies on the front and
GTR wheels on the back because we can't get them off...
but the rear seem to be all good anyway

My old FTO had R32 GTR rims, powder coated white. I think they suited the car well. As for fitment, I know they didn't have any kind of spacer, however I'm not sure if there were any modifications made to make them fit.

cheers dude... your car was the one that made me want to get the GTR wheels...
have had a closer look and you can see that their not quite fitting ove the centre bore...
think it just needs to be machined a few mills

got the GTR wheels on... the centre bore on the GTR wheels are 66.1mm so got them machined out to 67.1 (fto stocko's centre bore) and they fit real snug. still the standard springs though, so it definately needs to be lowered...

Are the front and back wheels the same on the GT-R (offset and width)?

They definitely are nice looking rims, and seem like they'd look good in all the right colors (white, black, bronze)

They are 16x8 +38 all round.. Would be good if they were 17's, but they are a strong leightweight wheel... Cheap too :D
