Is this what it's advertised as ?

Is this what it's advertised as ?

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/dea ... 1&__N=1216 1247 1252 4294964597 4294961377 900&silo=1011

I thought that GPX's were AFM free.

LOL

Well the chassis number listed is actually for a GP (mivec) but that is a non mivec engine there... a GR.

Ah hem well rhere to start--so the car advertised as an FTO GPX is actualy a GP not a GPX.

(And)--The engine it's supposed to have in it is a MIVEC engine, the engine it actualy has in it is a non MIVEC .

So the conclusion is that this car is not what it is advertised as and it is actualy a ---what ??

Even if the car was cosure, it would still be well over priced.

they prob got confused between a GP and a GPX, most car dealers only know GR's and GPX's

As Ben said, the VIN listed is for a GPX.....
Chassis No: DE3A0100877
Model Code: HNGHE
Model: GPX
Engine: 6A12 Mivec
Transmission: 5sp MT
Colour: Steel Silver
Manufacture Date: Week 3, February 1996
Option Code: BF0
Interior Code: 15X
The details in the ad seem to match with this except the pictures.
They have one interior picture of a silver auto car with a pre-facelift airbag wheel, and one interior pic of a silver manual car with a facelift type steering wheel.
Given that stuffup, my guess is the dealer has just screwed their pictures up and put the wrong engine shot as well.

Best bet is to go and inspect it yourself and then tell the dealer he is dreaming about the price.

That price is slightly ridiculous although being a dealer it is to be expected. Wish I could sell mine for that much

I've just spoken with the dealer and the pics are wrong it does have the correct Mivec power plant , I'm stlii not sure which stering wheel though. .

Retail redbook is $7.4k--$9.4k , if the vehicle is what the dealer has represented it to be and providing that it is clean and minty-ish what would be a fair offer folks ?

Not arguing the dealers case here but bearing in mind 30 day full warranty & 6 months Reg.

i dont believe many (grey import) dealers actually honour their warranties so its a fairly dark area IMO. the rego is good though if its included in the price. Although for the price....

Warranty may be academic with this car  , the interior looks as though something that likes eating plastic trim has been more than buisy, never seen anything quite like it--definately looked eaten --cocorochus platicus noshus?

Needs a complete all plastic trim replacement , like everything, dooor handle inserts, centre console, the lot, the main dash body is OK though

Motor sounded very nice.-seriously

Didn't drive so dunno how it goes'

Paint ordinary would come up with some elbow grease but the sills need paint--and I'd hit the rear view mirrors at the same tim, they're ok but they won't be for long.

Missing the front passenger side under wheel arch trim would need a carefull examination to see what else.

Realy asking $10k but I think a much lower figure would be more real probably cost at least $2K to get everything sorted to stock , then let the modin comence.
