like before but, and the GPvR is ?

Post by basho »

I'm now in the process of buying a GPvR and have been given to understand that the GPvR is the equivalent, comparitively, to the difference between say a Honda Civic R to other Honda Civics that are not an 'R'

What is the difference actualy ?

In other words I haven't got a clue what I'm buying and probably should be shot

Or, a my mother used to say "A fool and his money are soon parted"

I don't care it's a sparkling car anyway

A gpvr, essentially, is a lighter version of the gpx. What they've done is taken out some of the sound deadening, auto climate control and a few other bits and pieces. But they've added the "gpvr wing" and the blue fto bucket seats as standard. Dstocks would be able to tell you more, but theyre the main differences.

The most important difference, from a performance view, would be the addition of an LSD, which was only an option and rarely found on GR and GPX models.

lol, you didn't read my ad at all did you lol...

- Limited Slip Differential (LSD) (for better traction and powerdown)
- Larger 20mm swaybars front and rear (for less body roll)
- Strut Braces front and rear (for improved chassis rigidity)
- Minor weight reduction ( supposedly roughly 20kg less in manual form over a GPX)
- Recaro bucket seats (Blue, black or red, usually depending on the colour of the car)
- HID headlights (I'm still yet to see a vR which didn't have these fitted as stock)
- Larger rear spoiler
- Manual aircon, as opposed to the climate control system in GPX, GR etc
- Also as Bennoz said other slight suspension changes, like different length droplinks

As you can see, most of the differences are suspension/handling related.

Actualy yup, I did, but when I came to the price it frightened me so much I pretty much forgot everything.

--until now --and now I'm frightened again.

The wheels are falling of the purchase of one of these I've been trying to do ,-not through $.

The only figure I've got is $10K max like this.Image
But I'm to frightened to offer and be called a lowballer.

Yeah, but I said fitted as stock.
The fact yours had a D2S connection proved it had them fitted as stock.
