This is the second time you've done this too, we tried to offer you advice on what you should have paid for belts & you rejected that as well.

I officially don't understand young people anymore.

+1 the younger they are the even worse it gets

I think I need to work on my English..

At no stage did I tell this guy to STFU.. and at no stage did I say not to ask questions.. Merely state why/what happened with the other member...

Nor have I called him a dreamer...

Me thinks there is a bit of paranoia here.. Or a short fuse :bom:
All the dreamers ark up, and ask questions about AWD, Turbo, Turbo MIVEC, Evo Conversion, and the list goes on ... When you do something, you get all the dreamers asking a million and one questions, and once they realise the price and effort they back away
seems like your calling me a dreamer too me because i am asking around about this topic.
i am NEW to this forum - i do not know how many people before me have asked this - i dont know how many people have tried or given up, i was merely asking where everybody was at, and what they knew if they felt like posting helpful stuff - not to come on here and tell me im dreaming and all the other s**t - its just not necessary
I dont know why you got the impression that i care about this 'other person' who was trying to do it or done it or whatever - i said ONE small off topic comment saying he "seems" like he is a young driver and hasnt done anything because like everyone on the thread pointed out, at no stage was any pictures or specifics were given about the car, and when brought up he went hostile - and every second comment he was saying its his DADS and needs his permission or whatever. i never said i was interested in the guy or what happened to him...
When people are going to come onto my thread and start telling me im dreaming and bringing up crap off topic, or just negative posts in general of course im going to have a short fuse - i ask a genuine serious question and i get someone going out of there way to post negative crap and basically tell me to go do it myself - implying i should stfu and research somewhere else
So do what they did.. Research and have a go..
didnt think much of this at first, but then reading it again - the dots kinda give me the impression of you being sarcastic if thats the word - telling me to stop asking questions - and research and do it myself (outside of this forum it seems)
If you seriously want to try
once again - implying that im not serious and that im a 'dreamer' just asking around when im simply asking if anyone knows the few that are around, or has done any research themselves.

EVERYONE else on this thread has only posted very useful info, or given support or whatnot, and you seem to be the only one posting negative/non helpful comments on here.

@bennoz - relating to the belt issue - i got kinda fired up about that because you were saying a good friend and my mechanic for many years is a quote 'thief' and is ripping me off, when he has done nothing but. The price of the belts up here are more expensive down here, and would of cost me more to buy them myself, as i do not get the discount they do.
They also charged me less labour that what they actually did on the car because they were busy when i took it in and couldnt get to it straight away.
so when i hear that people are baggin this guy for being a thief and whatnot, im pretty sure others would get pretty pissed off and try to defend him also.
I think i was justified in defending him.

And then i get astron boy with his whole emoticon post crap because rock_it's wasnt enough - dont get me started
Why cant people be more like storm/xj265 etc - being helpful/supportive...

You have completely read Rock it's post wrong.

Yes, you are new, and I don't know how new you are to forums, but you indicated you searched and found nothing.
I can search and find plenty, but perhaps I'm more forum savvy than you (no offence intended)

You've insulted, and continue to insult one of the older more helpful and less noob people on this forum by saying that he is offending you.

Read it. YOU READ WRONG.

I don't care what you think of me for pointing out you're wrong, because you are.

You can either take what he has written as slander, or understand that he too was trying to help you, and you have mis-understood.

I'd rather he not stop to help people; simply because of people like you that accuse him of something he didn't do, so I made my post to make light of a situation that you made out of nothing.

no-one has slandered you, told you to STFU or told you to stop asking.

If you don't believe me, then continue to believe what you like and be on your merry way.

Otherwise you can move on, and perhaps get your project going with the help of useful people on this forum who know a lot about these cars.

f**k me.. Someone is certainly try to dissect a post to suit himself..

Anyway.. Arguing with a fool proves there is two...

So Good luck with your project, and as I said.. Try and talk to Meek automotive.. I think people have taken this subject up before.. And as they are conversion kings ask for advice.. They are Evo experts and would have all the parts u can give to your "friendly" mechanic..
