parts from wrecker vs brand new from mits jap?

hey guys !
recently i ordered a speedo drive from kempys
they are quick and reliable with 3 year warranty
but gues what
it cost 125 + 5NZ which is around 125AU
the guys dat rebuild my gearbox told me they got it brand new from mits jap today for 80AU incld tax + postage
isnt from wrecker suppose to be cheap????
or is this not the case for import???
god damn !

Wreckers isn't always cheaper, I was replacing the air-con belt bearing & some idiot wrecker try to charge me $250, while a brand new one from Mitsubishi is $200.

I think as soon as they know its an import, they will see $$$$$$$$ & assume people won't check prices.

er what do you mean by speedo... do you mean the enitre instrument cluster or just the speedo module in it?
