Goodbye my little sweetheart
On my way home last nite...was a heavy downpour and got in a 5 car pile up. Sigh...was the last car and got my front totally smashed. I'm so hurting right now that I could cry. Worst thing was I just had it resprayed 2 months ago. Now its gone...probably a write off. Gonna go down to the yard tomorz to pick up some stuff and hopefully get some pictures up. My pride and joy that makes me so happy gone GONE!! Just because some stupid women decided at the last min to take a turn. That is all...i'm gonna go have a cry now

Sorry to hear
Hope you had comprehensive insurance and had it insured for a decent amount.
All the best.

Yeah im covered for 10300 and getting bout 9600 back. Wonder if I could get out the centre console tomorz hehe. Im sure there might be interest in it. I will also be taking out my front and rear strut bars too. I was going at 70 when it happened. Jammed my brakes and my wheels locked up. Then it alll happened so quick. I'm now having flashbacks on how happy I wash when I first picked up the car

Re: Goodbye my little sweetheart
Well a corolla isnt jus the same as an FTO...Lolz. This was actually my first car...a sports car. I'm not so sure whether to get another one because the feeling is not the same and owning and FTO is pretty ex man. Spent almost 5g's to bring it to where it is now. Probably looking at a 2000 Celica ZR if I can find a white one with low kms. But if it doesnt give me the adreneline rush and satisfaction as an FTO...chances will be I might be turning back to the FTO again. Lolz so for the time being Vic has one FTO short...

Re: Goodbye my little sweetheart
Youll get a good one with 9600. If you can nab a couple of things out of the car THAT ARENT MENTIONED ON THE POLICY, then even better.

Re: Goodbye my little sweetheart
Once you've told insurance and they'll picked up the car (I'm assuming it got towed) you won't be able to take anything out.nikhan wrote:Yeah im covered for 10300 and getting bout 9600 back. Re: Goodbye my little sweetheart
Actually, thats not always true. muchacho32 was able to remove a number of things after insurance took it. Maybe it depends on the company/person.

Re: Goodbye my little sweetheart
Yea I can take out the additional items that was not covered in my insurance policy. So on mon I will be taking my amp, front and rear strut bar out of the car.
Anyway I was looking at this FTO on ebay. I am so tempted to get this but its in NSW. Wondering if I should go up interstate and drive it back to Vic. Have a look guys

Re: Goodbye my little sweetheart
Dont rule out getting from another state, particularly if it has the features you want. Dont rush either. Work out exactly what you want first and then start comparing that against what you find. Youll end up much happier as a result. Youll likely get a better deal/car as well.

Re: Goodbye my little sweetheart
Thanks for the advice Dwayne. Yeah I'll look ard. But getting it from another state is gonna be a bit tedious as extra cost will be involved gettin the car down. Furthest I would go is prob NSW or SA. because I want to be driving her back
I want an FTO but if I do I'm gonna be single because my missus say she will leave me lol. So we compromised on a Celica ZR. But somehow deep in my heart I knoe the FTO looks nicer and handles better
. And I love being in this club...feels like family lolz
