Yep. But I gotta pull the blown rear turbo off first so I can get to the old filter.

Try doing the fuel filter from under the car on ramps. The only thing is the fuel runs down your arms.Gholdwayne wrote:Bahh! Oil filter is fine... its the fuel filter thats the dicksluts... its like its in a mechanical cage

Yeah of course, I meant do you think the vl flutter uleh/compressor surge was what killed your turbos originally?Bennoz wrote:Nope, silent plumb back into air box. Be even quieter than before
Could you actually hear it going back through?

Re: Bennoz 6A13 Conversion
Yep, thats exactly what killed them.. the Uleh!
The snap shut of the throttle body would cause the turbos to come to a sudden stop (which inturn sheared the shaft) & gave the whoop-ish! sound originally. 18 pounds had no where to go!

More piccies of the fuel setup. Had to step up from 1/4" line, to 5/16".

Thats one bad ass setup

CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Wiring & relay in
Tested the system last night & f*ck me dead, it moves some fuel!! I watched the tank level go down a good inch in seconds
Will move even more when I get the intank feeder pump replaced, only got a stock one in there for the moment till the replacement Walbro arrives.

Re: Bennoz 6A13 Conversion
And here I was wondering what do with my blown rear turbo...
Do I bite the bullet & pay the $400 (minimum) to have it rebuilt? Or do I pay the $700 and buy a brand new one out of Japan?
Or better yet, for $495, lets buy 2 new ones (front & rear) off Ebay!

Re: Bennoz 6A13 Conversion
Yeah saw those. Problem with second hand ones is that they are bit of a lucky dip. Last ones only lasted 2 hours
Anyways, the new ones have arrived in Aus & have cleared customs, so should have them in the next day or 2

Hi ben I have a question reading through your thread and looking at the amount of work which you have done is kind of scarry especially to the in experienced.
Now if I was to look at the 6A13 conversion other than intalling the engine in your opionion what other work would have to be done as far as the conversion is concerned to get the car up and running and reasionably reliable.
Ive seen the amount of work and money whch you must of put into building yours, im not really interested in building a race car but I would love my fto to run a turbo one day.
Thanks

Re: Bennoz 6A13 Conversion
I reckon 8 grand mate. 8 grand would get you a reliable 150-160kws at the front wheels (that includes the purchase price of the motor too.)
If you left the motor stock (which I originally wanted to do) I reckon you'd have a very pleasant little sleeper.

Ok aside from buying the motor what else would be included in the 8 grand that I would have to buy?Bennoz wrote:I reckon 8 grand mate. 8 grand would get you a reliable 150-160kws at the front wheels (that includes the purchase price of the motor too.)
