You need a spark plug socket
There longer then normal sockets
I drove threw a bit of water ( enough to make it stall didn't start for a bit but once it did just kept the revs on till all the water and steam smoke from exhaust had gone )
How much water did it get in it

looks like quiet a bit it had a fair bit of water in the plenum and two spark plugs were wet, pulled the manifold and plugs out(had to modify a plug socket to clear the dimples halfway down).
it wont turn over more than 180 degrees,it just locks up.looks like a stuffed motor

I would say it is new motor time mate. To pull off the sump you do not need to remove the cross member but you will need to remove exhaust from manifold.

Im not 100% sure if thats the problem. Generally a stepper motor needs to be fixed when the idle is not working when cold, could be TPS also.

Before buying anything, best to wait for someone of more knowledge to come through. Most idle problems generally seem to be fixed with a new stepper or TPS.
