Dilemma

Post by Ther »

Hi guys,

I'm trying to see if i sell my car as is or repair it and then sell.

I have a 95 gpx with 174k. car worked fine although the alternator died so it needs replacing. Also the rear bumper needs replacing.

So what i wanted to get some suggestions as to a ball park figure as to how much i could sell the car as is.

Hey mate, long time no speak :)

These days, we've got a pretty good source of parts from one of our members here & Japan.

The rear bumper we could probably find for you for less than $100 (might even be able to match the colour), the alternator may be a bit pricey
though. You can have them reco'ed for around $200, or find a new one for around $350.
Or, if your lucky, 1 might pop up in the for sale section cheap.

With those things fixed & the rest of the car is in good nic, got rego etc, you might get 6-7 grand these days.

Also depends on the extent of damage. If your beaver panel + sway bars are stuffed, not worth fixing.
