Ever wondered how search engines like Yahoo and Google collect their information?
These bots or "spiders" as some people prefer to call them jump from site to site, link to link ,trawling through pages indexing all the information they come across so that it can be added to search engine databases so people like us can find the info we want at the click of a button.
Most forums or big websites aim to make their sites as open as possible for the bots so that the sites can be properly indexed and come up in the search engines.
